Client was approaching a major generational transition in their family business and wanted to ensure a smooth transition without major ruptures in the family or business.
SOLUTION
After much upfront due diligence, we assessed the family’s collective highest priorities and helped define their common values, vision and goals. Then, we facilitated a series of family meetings focused on articulating their vision and values, and developing a strategic plan around their common goals. The strategic plan covered both family and business issues. We have assisted in the process of putting the plan into place by working with the family’s existing advisors. The family has been able to retain family harmony while moving through a critical transitional moment.
