Shelterwood Financial Services Advisory Board is comprised of experts
in all areas of wealth management, including investments for high
net worth individuals, client services for wealthy families, and
psychological issues affecting wealthy, business-owning families.
The Advisory Board meets formally several
times a year to discuss trends and strategies in the family office
field, and is regularly consulted by Shelterwood staff.
Jean
Brunel is the founder and managing principal of
Brunel Associates, a wealth management firm focused on ultra-affluent
families. Previously, Mr. Brunel was the Chief Investment Officer
for J.P. Morgan’s Global Private Bank.
Mr. Brunel also served as a consultant and CIO for U.S.
Bancorp’s private asset management division. He is the author
of Integrated Wealth Management: The New Direction for Portfolio
Managers.
David
Horn is the founder of Oldstone, LLC, an
advisory firm for families with substantial assets. He co-founded
and served as CEO of Graystone Partners, an investment firm with
$4.4 billion assets under management.
Graystone was acquired by Morgan Stanley
in 1999 and Mr. Horn was retained as Managing Director and Head
of Global Private Client Marketing and Relationship Management.
He previously held senior positions with Bessemer Trust and Northern
Trust.
Ivan
Lansberg is an organizational psychologist and
co-founder of Lansberg, Gersick & Associates, a research and
consulting firm specializing in family enterprise and philanthropy.
He is a founder of the Family Firm Institute, an international
organization focusing on family business and family wealth.
Mr. Lansberg was also the first editor of the
Family Business Review, a scholarly publication devoted to the
family firm and family office. He is the author of Succeeding Generations
and one of four co-authors of Generation to Generation: Life Cycles
of the Family Business. |
